Our Story Built with care,
Built with care,
right here in New Braunfels
Schmidt Improvement and Repair has been building and fixing things the right way in New Braunfels since 2017. We started as a one-person operation with a simple goal: do good work, show up on time, and treat every project like it matters. That hasn't changed.
We specialize in decks, patios, fences, and deck repairs for homeowners across the New Braunfels area. Whether you want a new backyard deck for weekend cookouts or a fence that actually keeps the dog in, we build it to last. Every project gets the same attention to detail, no matter the size.
As a sole proprietorship, you deal directly with us from the first phone call to the final nail. There's no crew of strangers showing up unannounced. You know who's on your property and who to call if you have a question.
We take pride in clean work and clear communication. If something doesn't look right, we fix it. If a plan needs to change, we talk it through. That straightforward approach is why our customers in New Braunfels keep coming back and send their neighbors our way.
We're available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Getting started is easy. Call us at (830) 837-8080 or visit schmidtimprovementandrepair.com to request your free estimate today.

How We Work
What you can count on
Local Knowledge
Schmidt Improvement and Repair has worked in New Braunfels since 2017. That means we know the soil, the weather, and what materials hold up here.
Detail-First Work
Every board, post, and fastener gets checked before we call a job done. Small details protect your investment for years to come.
Honest Communication
You get a straight answer about scope, materials, and timeline before any work starts. No surprises at the end of the job.
Clean Job Sites
We haul off debris and leave your yard the way we found it. Your outdoor space should be ready to enjoy, not a mess to clean up.
Repair Expertise
Deck repair is its own skill set. We find the root cause of the problem, not just the visible damage, so the fix actually lasts.
Owner On Every Job
As a sole proprietor, Darryl is on-site for every project. You work directly with the person doing the work, start to finish.
