Expert Deck Construction in New Braunfels, TX
Deck construction in New Braunfels means building for a climate that pushes materials hard. Summers bring intense UV exposure and high heat. Storms roll in fast, and humidity swings throughout the year. A deck framed and finished without those conditions in mind will show wear early. At Schmidt Improvement and Repair, we plan every build around what your yard actually faces. We assess the layout, grade, and drainage of your specific lot before any boards go down. New Braunfels homeowners use their outdoor spaces year-round, from backyard cookouts to quiet evenings watching Hill Country sunsets. Your deck should hold up to all of it. We work as a sole proprietor, so you deal directly with the person doing the work, not a rotating crew. If you are ready to add a deck to your New Braunfels home, contact Schmidt Improvement and Repair to talk through your project.

Deck Construction FAQ
Common questions about deck construction in New Braunfels, TX.
Yes, we build on sloped lots in New Braunfels using post-and-beam framing sized to your yard's grade. Proper post depth and spacing keep the structure level and stable over time.
The right size depends on your yard's layout, how you plan to use the space, and any setback requirements for your property in New Braunfels. We measure your lot and talk through your needs before recommending a footprint.
You do not need to be on-site every day, but we walk through the project with you at the start and check in at key stages. As a sole proprietor serving New Braunfels, Schmidt Improvement and Repair keeps you informed throughout.
We go over your options based on your yard's sun exposure, moisture conditions, and how much maintenance you want to do. New Braunfels summers are hard on materials, so that conversation matters before any decision is made.
Yes, we work on both smaller ground-level decks and larger elevated builds for New Braunfels homeowners. Project scope is scoped to your yard and your goals, not a one-size package.
